    Windham SRC 308 *Range Update*

Here you go guys. Bought a Windham 308 instead of SW MP-10. It is lightweight AR-10. All accessories and 10 round mag weigh at 10.2 lbs. Stock weight was 7.6 lbs. The commercial stock is not staked and I staked it myself. (pictures shown not staked yet) You could install a mil spec stock if you want too. I just left it alone.

It's sporting a Primary Arms 1-4x optic with AR rings, Bipod, Geissele SDC trigger, Magpul handguard, Magpul MOE stock, FSC30, Hogue grip, and Sling.

    4/2/2014 Range Update

Glad I bought this AR! No malfunctions at all! Ate Federal and PMC well. So light for a 308 rifle. Lighter than my Sig 716. No brass dents and ejects at 3 o clock.
Zero'd at 100 yards with Federal M1A 168 grain ammo. At 50 yards, just need to hold .008 high to hit bullseye. 100 yards poa/poi. Didn't bring FGMM 308 with me, but I bet It'll be sub MOA.

Nice, post up some groups when you go out. And is this a polymer receiver?

It's aluminum receiver. I don't think someone will make a polymer receiver in 308.

Nice rifle, if you are worried about weight look into the DPMS GII rifles. They are super light!

Good looking rifle. I didn't know WW made a 308 AR.

If you don't mind, what was the price of the rifle before all of the add-on's? I'm assuming it's close to the same price as a S&W M&P-10 since you went for this rifle instead.

I saw the Windham for their 308 in the lastest edition of tactical weapons mag. The ad states a msrp of $1400.

Did yours come in around that much in it's stock config?

$1250 for the factory rifle seems very reasonable in my opinion.
Looking forward to the update as this rifle has commanded my full attention.

Thanks for sharing the pictures, haven't seen any in a LGS yet. I first saw it in Windham's email newsletter last year and was hoping it'd be out before the end of December. Awesome price too, can't wait for the range report.

I have a Windham AR in the Carbon Fibre. Awesome weapon and works flawlessly. I recommend them wholeheartedly.
