The Emperor's Armory called, they need their rifle-MY first complete build UPDATE

So I finally put together a complete AR Last night. And when AI did it I went whole hog. I've seen quite a few "winter" builds and figured why the heck not- I'm going full snow trooper.

I picked up a can of the new Duracoat spray paint and set up the paint booth. Paint comes out a little thin from the can. Also I shot it on a 60degree day. I'm sure if it was warmer it would have been a little better.
After I waited a day I put all the parts together and only lost one spring and the safety detent. Not a bad effort for me.
Enough writing, heres the finished product.

I'm going to see how she runs Saturday at West End. Anyone who sees me come over and take a run with her and "Feel the Power of the Dark Side"

    I guess I should run down a parts list;
    Anderson Machine Upper and Lower
    Joe Bobs parts kit
    Bushmaster Trigger Group
JP Yellow Trigger Springs (4.5-5 lb trigger pull in this build)
Midwest Industries Freefloat Gen 2 Forend
    CBC Industries Barrel
    MI low pro Gas Block
    Thordsen FRS-15 Stock
    Yankee Hill Phantom Muzzle Break
I support peace through superior firepower.

I just hope you can actually hit something with it. Those storm troopers sure had a tough time of it.

not a fan. If you sprayed the stock, it would have been better. more personally, I don't care for the gloss look.

What interests me the most is you masked the FCG pocket but not the takedown pins. Why did you mask the fcg pocket, and did you have issues getting the takedown pins in place during assembly?

                Can't see painting guns.

Nice build, nice paint job. It's yours and it's the way you want it and that's what matters.

Duracoat, should be a little better than krylon.
