    H&K MR762 Opinions

Just got a call from a guy that owes me for the engineering on a project he lost his tail on...wants to pay me part of the fees with a H&K MR762, but I wasn't familiar with the rifle. Any real know issues with them? The rifle is NIB and the stated trade value seems fair.

So - do I add another AR10 type rifle to the collection?

    Thanx...

Depends on the trade value he's offering. If he wants more than $3500 for it, you might want to reconsider.

I'd take some cash instead. Its a good platform, but if you really have AR10s, doesn't make sense!

Head on over to hkpro. There's a whole section dedicated to the MR556 and MR762 over there.

Superb weapon, just sold mine as I am downsizing. $3200 is fair if new imho, but do head to the pro and ask there. I miss it already

They go for 3899 new here at a lot of places in SoCal. You should get shoot it and if you don't like it you can easily sell it for 3200. There are some hardcore hk fans out there that will buy it right away.

It looks to be a well-made gun to me as I neither owned nor shot it, but holding it and looking at every detail, I admit I'm impressed by the workmanship.

Those are very expensive if you check out different places so if the contractor is throwing it in and it's NIB. It's not a bad platform to add to the collection, but keep in mind that it only uses proprietary mags so I don't think it can use the Magpuls that you have for your other AR10. If you don't like it, you can always sell it and not lose any money on it.

Like what others have said, check on hkpro or even post a question there about it, you'll get a lot of responses.

Well stated they do run around $4K, at $3200 easy sell the 416 in my area is already $3100 no sights (Bay Area)

Thanks guys...I think I'll double check I can get a few more mags...then grab it. I had about written the job off as a loss anyway - this is a nice way to put a good spin on a bad situation.

Not the rifle I would buy, but seems like a good price.
sigpicC'mon man, shouldn't we ban Democracks from Cal-Guns? Or at least send them to re-education camps.
