    Century Arms c39 AK Varient...

Ok so its a milled receiver made completely in the USA. Most of you I'm sure know about this akm.

I am having trouble finding a quality review of this ak..

I am new to AK's but have read till my eyes have bled and learned alot from a few guys in my neck of the woods that have alot of experience building polish surplus akm's.

Anyway Besides the political debate of what MK would think..originality etc.. and how it's an american made AK (which is actually what appeals to me.. sorry) AF is selling one for 599 and I am sitting with my credit card wanting to "complete cart checkout"

James Yeager seems to LOVE it.. and he is kind of a douche so if he loves it.. it has to be ok lol.

It seems to "look" to me like it has an original style to it.. original ak47 style I mean.. I'm probably way off on that remark and will pay in blood by all you AK buffs.. but lets see what you guys have to say about the Centurian c39 AK.. any help making a decision would be appreciated..

I would go with the Zastava O-Pap instead for a similar price you get a much better rifle.

I was going to get one, but then found a great deal on an Arsenal SGL and got that instead. It was much more expensive, but the deal was too good to pass up.

Opap is no morey friend. Some vendors still have it but want a ridiculous amount for it. Atlantic just got their final shipment couple weeks ago and are sold out, I was lucky enough to grab one right before. They don't make the opap anymore just the npap now.

Century Arms actually built this, it's not one of their IMPORTS...u want a milled then get a Turbothis reweld (Yugo variant) or CNC warrior AKM or AK74 receiver and build on a decent parts kit...a lot of roads and they all lead to Rome...

do they sell already riveted receivers? I know my way around an akm alright, but i don't have the equipment or the know how to rivet or do anything outside of hand work..Trigger group, springs, hammers, furniture, grips, etc..

i am a little apprehensive about westerners building an ak.. our western mechanical way of thing is too ridged compared to the flex and ease of eastern builds.. an ak is too loose or jello-like to be built with a western mindset (I watched alot of jim fullers class haha)
