    Ok

So from what I am reading if one starts with a jd, dpms, or qd stripped matching lower/upper and put all the same parts on each one will not be "better" than the other? Or is this when opinions come in with the old ford vs Chevy argument. Not sure if this matter but this is geared more towards an ar-10 build.

I suppose if there's a sloppy fit between the two it matters

My brother, army infantry, claims that a sloppy fit will affect accuracy. His argument is that the upper will torque and flop inconsistently when fired. The more moving parts you have, the more room for error it creates. The barrel, trigger, and ammo are the largest factors in my opinion. But, why even put a match barrel on a sloppy set in the first place.

I have heard of people finding AR10 parts much harder to match than AR15 parts. I'd stick with a known quantity with the AR10. I do know some people running DPMS AR10 uppers for match guns in odd chamberings, so I'd assume they work but that's a big assumption.

Because in practice it doesn't matter so it's not worth getting all worked up over it. Sloppy fit, missmatched upper parts, with a bolt I had lying around cause I lost the one that was in the BCG, SS dpms barrel with over 3000 rounds down it, unknown chamber (not a Wylde, likely a .223 match type) thrown together. 100 yards prone with a sling. 13 shots in the X ring on the MR31. Front sight was so far off on the first sighting in that I needed 30 clicks right to get centered, then I ran the 22 rounds on this target.

weg: That device is obsolete now. They replaced it with wizards.
frank: Wait a minute. There are more than one wizard? Is [are?] the wizard calibrated?
