    RickP,

If it works and cleans up better/faster for you then it's worth it! Tell us later how good the coating holds up.

please report back after +1000 rounds, maybe more (no cleaning) and let us know how cleaning the bolt on the high heat areas goes, pretty much the area surrounding the gas rings and the inside of the carrier.

Parallax was selling these at the Del Mar gun show for $150. They told me they had not sold one Sunday.

          Jimi Jah,

That's a good price considering there asking for $199...... I have one of there nickle borons in one of my troubled AR's. Put one in and it races like beast now. I am very much happy cuz it got my finicky AR to work/operate as it should.

Since this coating is considered to be of a ceramic nature I wonder if other brands toting ceramic coatings as well are the same???? I think Rubber City and Midway have offered ceramin coated BCG's

I just got one. Joe gave me a deal since I bought a bunch of stuff. I was building an ultralight ar but swapped away from a low mass bcg. But this looks fun. He said the bcg parts are from a colt supplier.

What a flash back, I remember seeing these back in 2006. DPMS TIN BCG's. Meh, I thought these were superseded by NiB BCG's.

For the people saying NiB is hard to clean, there is a lot of fake NiB BCG's. Unless your BCG was coated by WMD or UCT (Failzero), its probably not real NiB.

For that price you have the ENTIRE rifle AND all the internal parts (including BCG) coated with Cerakote. Then you can oil the Cerakote, because oil sits on the surface of Cerakote like metal, and have a super slick action that is easy to clean.

Not to mention your WHOLE rifle is protected not just the BCG.

                      AND

You Get 75 different colors to choose from (Burnt Bronze looks alot nicer than TiN) with Titanium you get 3 colors (Black, Silver and Golden)

Or spend ~$50 more and get a full lightweight jp bcg.

                          Then an adj. gas block.
                          Then a lightened buffer.
Then a reduced power recoil spring.

                          Then smiles.

overpriced and unnecessary. Which is why I got one the first day it came out =P They used to cost $250.
