Blackdog Mags aren't working with my AR ciener kit?!?!?!?!?

Basically when I use that ugly ***** mag that came with my ciener kit it works flawlessly, but when I pop in my fancy new Blackdog Machine Full Body 10 rounder it won't feed! I end up ejecting between two and 5 rounds before I can get it to feed. I only bought that mag because a lot of people said it was "the only way to go" now it doesn't even work. I like the way the black dog looks a lot better, and it feels more solid that those ugly ciener ones, but I can't even use it! Any suggestions would really be appreciated. I was going to order about 5 more of the Blackdogs when I first got it, but now I don't know.

BTW...I'm using Remington the Remington Golden Bullet .22 LR hollow points. Do you think that might be the issue?

That sounds pretty weird, I use my buddies 27rd mags in his ciener kit and get a couple FTE's every now and again but nothing major like you described.

Maybe call BD up and ask them?

I have three of the blackdog slim mags. They work perfectly in my ciener conversion. Maybe you got a bad one?

Does anyone think it might be the Hollow Point ammo?

my ciener kit hates that ammo, I stick with fed Bulk or CCI mini mags and Aguila I havent had a problem with those brands and I use BD Mags

just try a few different kinds of ammo and stick with what works

          my 2 cents.

I have the same EXACT issue with BDM mags and Remington HP .22. I bought three more Ciener mags because of this.

Let me get some pics up on tinypic that i took of the line-up problem the BlackDog mags have.

BDM Magazine lineup with chamber, and a Remington Golden Bullet HP .22:

Ciener Magazine lineup with chamber, same round:

I'm fairly certain the lineup + hollow point + soft bullet seating are to blame.

I switched to Federals (which I can't find except in Sacramento Wal-Marts) and things have been fine for both types of mags.

Spikes test all their uppers with the Federal Copper Top bullets. It is the only brand they recommend. They also make their own bolt carrier system.

I think it should be said that only recently have they started making their own bolt carrier system. Most older models are modified (chamber insert removed) Cieners.
