Thats where the spring for the front take down pin is. I suppose the hole is there to let water drain out.

Definitely broken. That thing is not even safe to hold.

Send it to me immediately, I have the special equipment needed to care for it.

I wouldn't lube that. Lube attracts dirt that will get stuck in there with no easy way to clean.

                        The Scooter ????

Yes, the scooter bugs me. There is something very wrong with that I have given it much thought. He also got stopped on it, and BS'ed his way out of a ticket. Wrong here, very wrong. Also that two weeks thing, that was some serious BS, and people send money to this person
                        I won't be wronged
                        I won't be insulted
And I won't be laid a hand on.
I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them.....John Wayne

                          Come on guys, LUBE?

How much wear do you think that spring and detent gets?

I mean how often do you hear "Darn upper is stuck on there cause I didn't lube the detent hole again."

The front take down pin is retained by a spring and plunger. The hole lets the air out so a vacuum is not formed.

The distance traveled is insufficient for it to be needed.
