+1 on the demilled Russian ammo that SG sells.
The bullet is non-magnetic. The case is. The entire round has a copper wash on it.

I bought 1k rounds of the demilled Russian ammo. Non-magnetic bullet steel cased copper washed. I've been through about 300 rds and 1 in 3 is a ftf. The bullet gets shoved in to the case when chambering. My converted Saiga has eaten everything without issue except for this stuff

Wow. That is a pretty bad batch. I have used those in my SKS and it worked Ok - only two FTFs in about 100 rounds. Have not tried them in AK platform yet.

I had the opposite experience, mist of a box & not a single problem through my SKS. However I read something about the feed angle for SKS are different from AKs so that might be the cause.

Yeah I had 100 rounds of that demilled ammo and only had 2 ftf. I was also shooting them out if an unconverted saiga. If only I could find some in smaller quantities. It is the cheapest way to shoot my ak at my local ranges.

I only go for ammo that is non steel and non-corrosive. That's why I don't shoot my AK much cuz I admit I'm picky but don't want my rifles to corrode.
