    HK vs Colt

it's extremely fishy, and it looks completely biased (ie, hence the HK moniker at the beginning).

i hope this hasn't been covered before, but can anyone comment on this?

ie, the video implies that the Colt is so unreliable, that any submersion in water will render the gun useless.

It's been covered here - The consensus was that the test was somewhat rigged for HKs. Do a search, it was discussed not too long ago.

I find it rather suspicious that the tester knew, beforehand, to wear a ballistic helmet and face shield when testing the Colt.

how was it rigged? other than HK found a situation where their operating system has an advantage over gas impingement.

It is possible that they did not allow water to completely drain from the barrel of the Colt before they fired it while they allowed the HK to drain completely before firing. Its hard to tell from the video but considering the source I would take it with a grain of salt.

what about the second test? where they fire from underwater? doesn't that make the whole issue with water (or lack of) moot? or am i wrong?

The HK is raised up with the muzzle down and allowed to drain.
The colt is raised up quickly and fired before the muzzle drains.

It looks great to people that don't know what they are looking at.
It does not fool people who can easily see what they did in their supposed "test".

they also used a 10" HK, and what looks like a 14.5" M4, the longer barrel means it doesn't drain as quickly.
