The mounts RS makes are very solid. I wouldn't hesitate to get another RS mount if I needed it.

Sorry not sure on the weight savings at this time . The Houge grips with out the rails are nice and actually feel good to hold VS the quad rails. We also like the fact that the customer can customize the rifle to meet their wants and needs . It is a pretty cool set up .

Yes the handguards without the rails do feel nice, however the top handguard will not hold zero and the bottom rail is too short to fit an angled foregrip.

Take a look at my setup. Added a few more things like magazine issues, the Mako recoil spring buffer stock, etc.
