    Range report from new build

Here's my original thread on my new build...build list is on post #33 I believe...

That said, went to USI in concord today to try it out. Using pmc .223 55gr and independence 55gr ammo with iron sights/bi-pod only at 50yrds. No major issues to report..rifle ran excellent. I'm very happy with it. Hard to sight in at 50 yards with irons when front sight takes up entire target(smaller shoot n see ones), and I'm not the best with irons... Overall I'm happy with the groupings, though I think it's shooting as lil right n low, lol . Hopefully get a small scope on it soon and can really sight it in properly. I'm anxious to see what this rifle can do in a sled with a scope...About 100 rnds total..

Oh ya..all the orange n black dots, for the most part, were my mom. She doesn't shoot often..lol

You're better of with a $400 .308 unless you plan on taking out taliban from 2000 yards away haha

Aw USI, the land of range nazis, no rapid fire, no buckshot, no silhouettes, and a 100 yard max. But what other option is there in Contra Costa?

and have access to action pistol competitions (faire du rapid fire et obstacle courses?) and the multi-purpose range to shoot out to 200 yards (bring your own targets, steel/etc), to name just a couple of pros

They may seem like "nazis" on the pistol/rifle range, well, because the "once in a whilers" need it

Here's a pic from shooting out to 200 yards with my .22 just a few weeks ago

OP - not bad at 50 with irons. I have old eyes and prefer a red dot, or glass for out past 100 yds. Congrats on the new build, keep feeding it ammo, and a serious high five for getting the moms out

            Cheers !!

At least when the RSO's do have to talk to the less experienced folks there, they are polite.

with a PSA rifle equipped with iron sights shooting tula ammo im grouping like this . . . this was right out of the box my first 10 shot group, before i got to sight it in at 50 yards (notice it was shooting a lil high but dead center) . i suggest more trigger time

Nice groupings, I have bad eyes and can barely get groupings like that at 25yds with irons.
