Had one, works pretty well, the teeth on the end will wear a hole on your range bag. I used shootable AR plastic muzzle covers to prevent that.

Only had one because it was dirt cheap, didn't like how it looked, didn't notice much if anything in the way of performance. Eventually replaced it with an sjc titan.

No, I went with the Claymore instead, but after not noticing a change other than my gun bag and the floor of my truck getting chewed up I ditched it too

3 popular brakes at the moment:

            PWS FSC556

            SUREFIRE

            LANTAC DRAGON

I'm using a medieval muzzle break on my 16 I do notice that it does help a little with control and follow up shots but is highly fireball prone. It probably won't bother you but indoor range wussies may whine. I also run a pws fsc on another AR and its just flat out better all around for control and follow up shots were a in a tighter group. Plus the fsc doesn't make huge fireballs but I think it might make a little more sideways pressure (had a friend in a stall next to me complain about it). The medieval is a decent cheap muzzle break like the yhm one but with the added benefit of being able to break glass should you ever want to try it. If I had another fsc though I wouldn't be using the medieval.

Also note the medieval comes with a crush washer and the fsc comes with a bunch of different size shims.

Not impressed with mine. I would not purchase it for another build
