    Trigger recommendation.

I purchased a Mega MaTen MKM set last month and want to start chipping away at this build.

I wanted to start it by ordering the LPK and trigger. I currently own a Geissele SSA-E in both my AR's and wanted to see what other trigger you guys recommend for this MaTen build?

2nd question, will a regular AR15 buffer kit work with a MaTen lower, or do I need find one for a AR10 or LR-308. Planning on putting a Magpul PRS stock.

    Thanks in advance.

It is very hard to go wrong with the Timney 3 lb trigger, I have one in two of my builds, great trigger for a precision rifle.

So you have 2 SSA-E and are going to downgrade.... Why?
I want to upgrade all to them. I only have 3 so far... And Geissele on Scar as well and looking at there new one for my Tavor. Had a few others I have bought and tried for AR's and just not as good.

I'm kinda wondering the same myself I have an SD-E in there currently. All my other ARs have SSA-Es or SSAs so I wanted to keep the trigger pulls somewhat consistent between guns. I really don't want an adjustable trigger though, so I've been looking at the Timney and Wilson Combat TTU. Not sure though but everyone has been raving about the TTU.

On a budget, CMC. Money no object, AR Gold.

Geissele triggers are hard to beat. If you're used to them I'd stick with the SSA-E.

Youre going to need a 308 buffer and spring. Also, I believe the ar15 A2 reciever extension tube will work for the 308.

It seems like that's what I'm going to do. I went through the site and looked at different triggers they offer and I couldn't find anything better for what I intend to use this rifle for.

I'll probably be doing a lot of mid range to long range bench shooting and every now and then shooting at multiple targets under 100 yards.

Another option is take out the SSA-E from 1 of my AR's and run it in the MaTen. Then get the S3G for the AR15, that trigger got my attention for some reason.

If you want an upgrade from the Geissele for your MaTen MKM build, get a Wilson TTU. I have the single stage and am very happy with it. If you go for the 2-stage, I have little doubt that it will be just as nice as the two-stage.

I usually recommend the AR Gold but not for the .308. The two SR Golds (.308 version of AR Gold) that I have tried have been quirky. One of them I found a fix for and like it very much and the other one I tried was installed on someone else's PredatOBR. The PredatOBR uses a black Gold model and is the OEM trigger for the PredatOBR. The PredatOBR I played with had creep in it like mine had originally. If it were mine, I probably could have fixed it.

ALG QMS with JP yellow springs. Save the diff and spend that on extra ammo. You will get better shooting that extra ammo than you will with a $250 trigger.
