Future new build looking for ideas for 5.56 AR.

I'm thinking of building a new AR and need some ideas.

My end product should be a bull barreled AR for Coyote/Varmint hunting.
I'm thinking 26" Barrel but they are harder than hell to find. White Oak Armament makes a gas impingement upper but what fun would that be.

Debating on long stroke gas piston but wondering if I'll be able to find a gas block that will work for a bull barrel. I need feed back on why or why not gas piston long stroke systems. I think short short stroke systems have to many problems from what I have read, but I could be wrong.

So fellow Cal Gunners give me your thoughts on Bolt Carriers (finishes), Triggers, Extras like bad levers and so on.
