I would go with cason engineering. They have the best bolt for 7.62 that is patented I believe. It comes with the enhanced firing pin and their uppers are nice billet. They are also a California company.Comment

I have 2 SOTAs in x39 and am very satisfied with them. Both are the SS barrels. I ordered one stock and the other I had them put the low profile gas block on it so I could add my Troy Alpha rail and not have to buy anything else. They said no problem and there was no extra cost as both blocks cost the same. I have a few friends who have bought from them since and are all very happy. One friend didn't go with the SS barrel in x39 and said he noticed a difference in the recoil. I did go with the Wolff hammer spring from the git go as SOTA recommends this.

I have a Model 1 and it has been flawless for me. I got mine through Galati Intl a few years back so I didn't have to deal with M1. No experience with Sota but again my M1S has done me very well."These surplus guns are cool not because they go Pew, but because where and when they have Pew'd"

The whole thing with 7.62x39 is bolts and mags and how fast it ships isn't gonna make a difference. If you buy a quality bolt that won't shear lugs and a quality mag you won't have any problems like any of the 7.62 naysayers out there. I no the cason bolt has a test bolt with 10k rounds on it. Other bolts are breaking and shearing lugs at 2000. Buy once cry onceComment

There is a substantial difference in the prices of the x39 upper between the two. Can't figure out why.....Tire kickers gonna kick,
Nose pickers gonna pick
I and others know the realComment

Haven't heard of that but I'm surprised this company hasn't gotten any more reviews. I no their website hasn't been updated in awhile I follow their facebook which they seem to update quite often. Check it out if you are interested https://m.facebook.com/casonengComment
