    Battlecomp or AFAB?

Which one for my LMT CQB 16 defender?

    Or

    Precision arms AFAB

F**k the boating accident. If it's time for a "boating accident" it's time to start F'n shootin.

Exactly! I thought I would wait for the weight of votes.

I think I'd go battlecomp. However, if your looking for a slightly cheaper route with the same great quality check out griffin armament. They are a great competitor to BC. I'll be going with their m4sd ii comp very soon.

Also, with a 16 inch barrel I personally look for compensators the same size or smaller than an a2 flash hider. It looks weird to me when they protrude too much. However, my brother has a yhm comp on his rifle which is longer than an a2 and his setup looks great!!! It's all preference man. Goodluck.

BCM makes a comp that looks similar to and is the same size as an A2 birdcage

Battlecomp. Have you considered the Lantac Dragon?

I've owned a battlecomp, PITA to get a cable thru the barrel. I'd prefer an AAC or the one pictured. I shot my Reece with an AAC directly next to my buddy with a Bcomp, at dusk/partial light. The AAC was a bit softer flash signature.
Yes I took the pic, no I didn't go swimming!

Since my guns are set up for what I would want if I really had to use them, which will most likely never happen. I felt that not being seen was much move valuable than a loud bright compensator. Now if I had the patience to print nice little groups at medium to long range I wouldn't be concerned at all with flash and sound. Unfortunately I find static shooting quite boring. My 11.5 pistol got the blackout as well as my iron sighted 16" mid length. I felt that for my 14.5 with acog would benefit from a little compensation but I wanted to control as much flash as possible at the same time so it got the fsc556. It looks like I might have been served just about as well if they all got the blackout.

I guess the moral of the long winded tmi post is figure out what's important To you and the intended use of the rifle and choose from there.

I've shot the BC 2.0 side by side with the MB556K. The 556K works better, and I could not tell an appreciable sound difference between the two.

The FSC556 does seem louder than both though

I run the Battlecomp on my 14.5" DD and I have no complaints. The barrel stays flat and follow up shots are easy. If anything, it pushes the barrel down some. And I've never gotten a complaint about concussion from a bench neighbor or someone that I shot next to during training. Good to go for me, though saying that I'm torn between the BattleComp and the BCM Gunfighter Comp for another platform simply because of the cost difference.
