tacticool, practical, or mall ninja BUIS

Considered getting angles sights for a 308 semi thats running a 4-16x scope and came across these. Was considering the KAC angled sights or a knock off of it, but saw these and thought it was a cool idea. not sure how durable they are, but as a BUIS, i guess it would be fine. i like the idea that it doesnt stick out from the side in its folded position.

$300? Pass. The $25 Amazon ones are good enough for an emergency backup.

      1. Is your rifle for combat?

      2. Does your scope mount have QD?

      3. Do you like them enough to not care if other people call it mall ninja?

Training for close range transition for running Heavy Optic in 3-gun, or just to have BUIS for SHTF? Either way, it's your gun - run it they way you need it.

Pretty much this. Most guns just kill paper, so RTS's are just silly, but those who compete or anything like that its a legit need. I think judging by your scope magnification, you're not doing comps

That being said, I dig that they are comng out with these now, at least they will be less of a sore thumb

The amazon ones are actually really nice. For 25$ they are worth trying out to see if you even want offset sights. I love mine on my coyote AR.

              +1

I've bought several sets of these for me and my buddies. Most of us have a little mall ninja in our blood and don't compete in 3 gun so no need to drop big money on something you'll use rarely if running an optic. These will work just fine.

The ones like that are built for 3gun because of some rule right? Something like having 1 optic only?

Just got may $25 Amazon sights and have yet to use them but they look like they will work. And for $25 if they don't work, oh well!

I don't get the idea of mounting a BUIS when you have an optic. Optic goes down, put the rifle back in its velvet lined case and take it home from the range.

It pays off if you happen to be camping out in BLM or somewhere and would rather not pack up 1 day into a week/weekend long trip.

But you’re right, pack it up and go home

Yes. 1 optic just puts you in tactical. Running an offset/piggyback RDS (ACOG/RMR style) puts you in the open division where anything goes and is horrendously expensive to stay competitive in.
