Not sure what you are asking.

Do you have a complete upper with an A2 front sight pinned to the barrel? Yes, you can buy an optic and leave it alone, it will not impede your target acquisition.

For an optic, all depends on what you want to achieve with the platform, do you want magnification or just a red dot, and then there's the part about how much money you want to spend, sky's the limit or under $100?

Finding the optic that will work best for you comes with quite a few questions that need to be answered:
Budget and use being the 2 biggest that come to mind to get started.

You do not need to remove your A2 front sight base unless you want to as under most magnifications you will actually not see it.
If you want to use a red dot with no magnification then yes it will be visible but you could co witness it.

Removing an A2 sight tower is not for the weak of heart.
As removing taper pins can be a pain.
Also removing your FSB will probably void your warranty if you have one.

I have NO issues with my ta33r acog or aimpoint PRO on either of my rifles with an fsb. $200 is an area I don't know much about. My friend shoots her ptac ar15 with a nikon 3-9x scope p223?? and does pretty darn good job with that. Its not illuminated though but for most of us is all we need. For a basic AR I'd get a red dot. Primary arms has one for under $100 that may be good for you. Imo save up and get an aimpoint pro. Will be worth it. ~$380 on a real good sale

Since you are very new to the gun world just remember you will never "ge it right" the first time or "buy the best". Ive been around mostly shooting pistols for awhile and rifles have been very sobering. Lots of different stuff out there.

Red dots, it will be in your sight picture. I like to run mine that way.

Low magnification, it will be visible but blurry. The lower the magnification the more of it you will see in your sight picture.

Strong magnification, it will technically be visible but you will not see it unless you're trying to look for it.

If you find you do not like the sight in the picture, I have seen where folks have just cut the top part off the sight. See attached.

I like my Vortex Sparc. It comes with a 2x magnifier which helps at longer distances.

Buy a bushnell trs 25 , you can't find them for around 80$ and put it on a high utg riser . It will co witness perfectly with your set up and let you hit targets at the ranges you want
