Can you still buy 10 long guns with one DROS?

Anyone buy a 10 pack of lowers this year or put both pistols and long guns on the same DROS?

Most of the LGS I have Purchased pistols only allowed me to do 1 at a time and 1 per 30 days. I would think you would still have to do pistol and long gun registration separately.

I wonder if this means 1 handgun and 9 long guns on one form.

you can have as many longguns as you want on one dros you can also add a pistol on at the same time without paying any additional fees. PPTs can also be added to dealer sales without extra fees from the state as long as the dealer does the entry correctly.

It sounds like I can buy 1 pistol from the store and 9 pistols from a friend (PPT) and pay a single $35 fee, correct?

Expect that to change, IMHO, the dealers are spending 3X the amount of time with the new DROS system, plus time to enter all the info for each one.

Each firearm gets its own DROS but if done at the same time there is only one DROS fee. I'm pretty sure the dealer will be able to charge $10 per PPT though.

No sane person is going to buy 10 lowers now.

I guess if you just turned 18 its your only option, though.

Why not? Purchase of one lower goes into the registry. The other nine go the same place. There are no gradations here. Either you're in the registry or not (kinda like pregnancy: one kid; twins; triplets-you're still pregnant.)

                          DEPENDS on your LSG.

Some shops don't want to be 'inconvenienced' with having separate sheets of paperwork and will only allow 5 firearms. Apparently the ATF auditors are real sticklers and want everything nice and pretty. (ROLLS EYES)

Cal AG letter to dealers, October 25, 2013 (http://oag.ca.gov/sites/all/files/ag...ros_letter.pdf)

Only one set of fees of $25 for all firearms being transferred.
only one $19 fee will be charged for all firearms being purchased or transferred at the same time to the same transferee. The $5 Safety and Enforcement and $1 Firearm Safety fees will be added to the $19 DROS fee. As an example: a purchaser will be able to buy both a handgun and a long gun; add curio/relic and pawn redemption transaction; add a private party purchase ofan additional handgun; and pay one $19 DROS fee, one $5 Safety and Enforcement and one $1 Firearm Safety fees for a total of $25. This is how the new DROS fee will be applied as long as all transactions are submitted by the dealer, at the same time, during the same transaction submission session using the new DES. If the dealer forgets to add a transaction during the original session, separate fees will be assessed to each transaction and the Department will not refund transaction fees resulting from dealer errors.
                            Cheers.

I don't understand this mentality, unless one is a criminal of course.
