Anyone Catch The Recent PTAC Description Change?

Or did I just miss it the last dozen times I've visited their site?

"Upper is expected to group per the mil-spec 4-6 MOA."

Are they basically saying that the PTAC barrels suck? (Palmetto State Armory)

Not that I would be DISSATISFIED with a 4-6 moa semi-auto rifle that could be made for ~$500

I think buyer were expecting way too much from a $300 upper and when it didn't perform... ***** to PSA about it. The old saying of you get what you pay for... want a MOA barrel at 100 yards, pay the extra cash and at least upgrade to PSA's FN barrel.

I picked one up at Black Friday, non-premium. With iron sights I was getting 10 shot groups usually 1.5-2" at 50yd using cheap ammo, and I'm not a good shot and had barely touched an AR before.

              2" at 50y is 4 MOA.

And yes, the people who bought them all thought they were getting Noveske/DD/BCM performance. And a lot will still claim they shoot MOA with 55 bulk ammo. Watch.

I'd say a PTAC would make for a good "truck gun" beater rifle. Definitely an iron sight or red dot rifle

I haven't touched the PTAC stuff from them....

All of the FN barrels I've purchased from them have been spot on though.

I'm getting the CHF FN 14.7" barrel from them soon....(next month lol) but I wonder what kind of groups. It's a middy with a medium profile, CHF 4150 chrome lined 1:7

                    hmm

Most guys cant shoot better than 4 MOA with iron sights or a red dot so it does not matter for a cheap plinker.

Many people are looking at 3 shot groups rather than 10, and I'm pretty sure that I have room for improvement. Maybe a more accurate gun would help too but I'm still easily minute of man out to a few hundred yards, with a cheap gun and irons.

There's plenty of room for improvement of my shooting, and I'd rather do that for now rather than buying a better gun. With decent glass from a rest I can shoot the same groups - maybe smaller - with my 22, but standing with irons is a little different.

                              Also,

"This $290 complete upper doesn't shoot as well as my $280 Daniel Defense barrel...this is ridiculous!"
