    Ar15 build finish, help, advise

I have a stag lower and a stag 2HT+ upper and will be putting a
mill spec lower parts kit with a ALG combat trigger combo for $109. Will they be able to ship it even if it does not have a bullet button?

I am trying to get the rest together for now on tight $$

for a rear iron sight I am probably going to go with a Matech BUIS

I would like to find a Truglow post for my F marked front I found one on Amazon but it says for a A marked folder

I am guessing the sight post sizes are in post height not width the front post on the f seems pretty thick ?

I am also looking for a cheap mill spec buffer tube assembly these are cheap but are they truly mill spec any opinions? I heard if you use 2 nuts or 2 end plates the tube will never come loose?

Are the anti walk pins a good idea I have no pins at all?

    thanks in advance

    Just stake the castle nut.

F marked is a gas block intended for a flat top upper receiver.

You don't need to buy an LPK with a bullet button to have a parts kit shipped to CA

Yes they'll ship a LPK without a bullet button, PSA has them on sale for 29 bucks right now.

As for front sights, trijicon or mepro light sets are great and usually go for 70 ish , I have a set in my LMT irons.

Pins,,, I'd go KNS anti rotation gen 2 if you think you need them, I have a S3G trigger and anti walk pins in my lower.

Sights are measured in width, height is adjusted manually.

Receiver extension , I'd go reputable brand, PSA and spikes are great priced quality parts.
The castle but can be staked if you're worried about it coming loose.

I always check palmetto state armory for parts kits. They seem to carry good to go product

Is there any reason you couldn't loctite the receiver extension rather than staking it?

Other than it isn't milspec, no.

I blue loctite mine with just a drop. Witness mark with a paint pen; hasn't loosened a hair in over 2k rounds.

Ok more searching on PMSA. Has me thinking this

              Plus this

would have me set and GTG at a better price than this and a a separate buffer tube kit http://www.whiteoakarmament.com/xcar...roductid=17873

              Stake the extension?

Normally you'd stake the receiver end plate into a small notch on the castle nut. This prevents the castle nut from ever coming loose under recoil. The double castle nut thing is, forgive me for a lack of better words, but a terribly dumb idea IMO

Look at the other lower build kits with the psa classic lpk. I got the magpul str one the trigger is great. No take up no grit clean break. Have heard some are gritty but mine is great.

That with the only buffer kit they have would be $10 more

The 2 items I stated above will include all the little parts and pieces I will need right? I want to get it ordered

I have the ALG Defense A.C.T Combat Trigger with 3.5lb J&P Springs in my rifle and it is good to go. No take up, clean crisp break and a nice reset. PSA buffer tube is also good. Same quality or better then some complete stock tube packages.

some castle nuts do not come with the notch to stake, this one does. We also just put it on sale.

if the trigger is put in properly it should not need anti walk pins and the alg comes with them.

if you alreayd have the trigger, why not get a LPK minus FCG? save some money especially if you'll change the pistol grip too. I got those from 762sass (armalite LPK) though they were for an AR10. We have some other vendors here that sell the LPK w/o the FCG too. Just can't recall which brand they had.

there's been threads in the past re: kns pins. (if you have full auto mainly iirc). i put a couple of set in 2 ARs. tacti-cool flavor. haven't had any pins walk out on me for those w/o any pins. but they're not 1k in round count yet either.

My trigger pin walked out to the left just this past weekend.

                            80% lower.

Still, it had 2K+ rounds before any pin-walking occurred.

The gun would still cycle, but the trigger would have to be manually pushed forward after every shot.

IMO, anti-walks are a good investment for an 80% build.

The reason I recommended the others is if you wanted more than just the standard collapsible stock your at 120 between the 2 which is the range of the complete build kit option. From my understanding you don't already have a trigger. I have no experience with the alg so I cannot say whether it is that much if an upgrade. Between those 2 you linked you should have everything as long as the pins come with one or the other.
