    Draco Pistol Question

Hey all, I've been looking at a lot of Draco SBR's and Pistols, and had a couple questions on building my own.
Is there a way to purchase a CA legal Draco Pistol? I've read that they have to have a fixed magazine, is this true?

I've read that these have 12.25" barrels, so if I were to permanently attach a flash hider like this:

Would that be considered a rifle, therefore making it legal to attach a stock?
    Kinda like this:

And of course bullet buttons and all that Commiefornia jazz...
    Thanks for any feedback!
**NOTE: I do not own any of the pictures attached to this post!**

You can go ahead and quit looking at SBRs...you won't get one in this state.

as far as pistols, yes you can get one it just needs to be SSE'd from an FFL i believe; not hard at all with AK/AR type pistols.
you can attach any muzzle break/compensator (flash hider) to an AK/AR pistol as it have a magazine lock.

Has to have mag lock installed...and no you cannot install a stock unless you pin and weld a barrel extension on making the barrel over 16" long during the build.

SSE is still a viable option. He could also buy one via PPT.

SSE is GTG until 2015 when Governor Brown will sign the revised SSE bill that he vetoed this past session.

The supply of Dracos have dried up for some time now. Atlantic had a few Mini-Dracos that sold out quickly some time last Nov. You can still pick up a Zastava PAP pistol on an SSE. My only gripe about those is that the barrels are not chrome lined liked the Draco.

Hopefully Dracos may come back again before the SSE option dries up at the end of this year.

Anyone ever used one of the .308 pistols?

AR or HK style, any input is appreciated!

To get it as a pistol, it needs to have a maglock and SSEd.

Once you convert it to a rifle, it follows standard CA AW laws.

Note, MOST dracos I have seen are 11.5 barrels. Depending on the import batch, they have some variation though, all the way from 9" up to 12.5" (at least from what I have seen/read).

For fun, heres my Draco carbine. Keep in mind I'm in a free state though.

How is he dreaming, hes talking about pinning on a extended muzzle device and getting a mag lock.

Some of you need to read his whole damn post.

You should look into a Yugo M92 PAP pistol. It has a longer sight radius like a real krink. Chrome lined barrels are over rated. We are not shooting full auto.

You will not need to extend the barrel on a draco pistol but you do need a mag lock. Should you decide to put a stock on it, converting it to a rifle, you would need to pin a muzzle device to make the barrel 16" or longer before doing so.
