Only the link works, and the other pictures on that link show the end is wide open like any normal a2 flash hider.

That has nothing to do with whether or not it's a flash hider. Sounds like it was sold to you by someone who didn't know what the hell they were talking about.

Flash hider based on what the DOJ stated in Hunt V Lockyer and the claims on the battlecomp site about it having similar flash characteristics to an A2 flash hider.
