    PSA vs P-tac LPK-opinions?

Well, I'm taking the plunge into a pair of 80% builds with TM lowers, and I'm looking for some insights into LPK's. These are going to be basically budget builds for varminting and range work-father and son projects. We're not going to egress a submarine at -50', swim two miles to shore, crawl through 300yds of beach sand.....and so on. Just looking for decent function, quality, and reliability.

Knocking around on PSA's website, I came across these two kits:

The PSA kit has lots of reviews, but the P-Tac only one. Any thoughts on advantages/issues to either one (other than price)?

    TIA

If you're going to need bullet buttons, see if the PSA classic kit with BB is available. It's $43, includes the better rated LPK. It's been out of stock for a while, but I think you can set up an email notice to you when it comes in stock. BB's are $20 a pop, so this is a deal if you need one....

Are they not the same thing? As far as I understand, they should be essentially the same kit.

My experience with the PTAC LPKs has been okay. As long as you know what your getting into. The parts kit needed some persuasion to work in my lower. The bolt catch and safety selector had some flash on it that needed to be removed. The trigger is the worst I've ever felt but I always replace my trigger so it's not an issue for me. But if you have the patience and don't mind putting in some work then you'll be fine. If you get the PTAC at a great price then I'd say go for it. But if you can find the PSA one for a few bucks more then definitely get that one it will save you a headache in the long run.

PSA classic is better than the PTAC

MOE is Magpul Original Equipment. Unless you're gonna be a Mall Ninja, you don't need it. And from your original post, you have no aspirations to become a MN.

Need it? Probably not. But I don't see what's so "mall ninja" about an MOE stock and pistol grip. I despise the standard M4 stock and the A2 pistol grip. For me, the Magpul alternatives are infinitely more comfortable, more "solid" feeling, and worth every penny.
