I also have an Adams Arms...love their product but don't expect quick answers if you have questions for the factory...but once you contact them, they will do you right.

A friend of mine had tried several gas piston setups, including LWRC and for various reasons, he's decided that Adams Arms is the gas piston setup he does current and future builds with.

^^^ This. Just ordered another HK upper, and it's going to IGF.

I'd just buy a Sig 556. It was designed to be a piston driven rifle. It's the US market version of the SG552.

Running a Stag 8, same as the CMMG piston system. Runs great.
Stag said while they were the same system in the beginning, Stag now makes their own but is exactly the same as CMMG so the parts are interchangeable.

Huge Grant pretty much covered it all. AK DNA in the ergonomic, modular AR platform. I can tell you, from personal experience, that PWS makes a quality product. Read up on the Mk2 (.308) version on Sniper's Hide. Also, they're not front heavy like most piston guns.

This would translate to additional flex of the piston if attached to the BCG over the course of the weapon cycling. I think there is a good reason why the best designers chose the short stroke piston design when redesigning the AR for the 21st century. Every single one of the entries in the last two USMC and Army competitions for replacement carbines have been short stroke piston designs.

I bought a PWS Mk 116 upper from AIM as a Christmas gift to myself
Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet.

No one else has mentioned it but Huldra Arms makes a 14.5 in upper for $849.

It's gotten some decent reviews on Arfcom

Where does the Core15 fall in line of quality?

                              Edit:
I like the Adams Arms stuff but I don't like that all of their barrels are 1:7 twist.
