I finally got around to finishing my first build over the past few months after completing my lower some time ago. It was a great experience and I will definitely be doing it again. Thanks to ar15barrels for assembling the upper. The lower was very easy to do and surprisingly no detents or springs were lost.
First range outing was a success. No issues after 160 rounds. The rifle length gas system is so much softer to shoot than the carbine length on my sig. Now I need to take it outdoor to stretch it out and sight the scope and irons properly at 100 yards.
Parts:
Elemental Arms billet 7075 80% lower
MI billet upper
Nikon M223
MI 15in SS handguard (very light)
Tungsten cerakote
Ice Arms 18in heavy ss barrel 1-8 twist with JP comp
WMD nib bcg
BCM charging handle
Spikes mil buffer
Thordsen featureless stock
PSA LPK with ACT trigger
