Remove or don't remove the BHO button on a Saiga Sporter

So I'm gonna do a conversion and I'm reading up on it...

Apparently I have the option to not reinstall the Bolt Hold Open button on the receiver. I'm thinking that because the grip is going to be moved forward, the BHO might get in the way of my trigger finger.

How many of you removed the BHO button when converting your Saiga?

If you kept it, have you found that it interferes with shooting or has caused any problems?

I kept it but ground it down so the button was not at all obstructive with the new trigger position. Works fine and has never caused any issues.

      I took it off.

It was a pain in the arse to get that stupid spring in there. Sure i didnt have the right tools but its not really a integral piece either.

i have a Saiga 12 and i hated the BHO spring. it kept getting jammed up inside which ruined my time at the range.

threw it out and just dremeled a notch on the safety lever to hold the bolt open

I left mine out, not really a big deal. I use an empty brass at the range to show its clear.

Anytime I do a conversion the bho is installed. The way to avoid this issue is to cut a slight notch in the shelf the BHO spring sits in, then bend the spring over. That keeps the spring from jumping off and shoving the BHO up and locking the action open while shooting.
The spring is easy to reinstall, you need to use a slave pin in the beginning. I've so many I don't even need that anymore..
