    Bulk ammo purchase questions

Now that it appears .223/5.56 ammo is readily available and prices have come down, I've decided to make a bulk purchase.

I'm looking at Federal/Lake City 5.56 XM193 and it seems to be averaging $0.40 to $0.50 per round in bulk before shipping. I did find it at one source for $0.53 per round on stripper clips, and I was already thinking of buying a Stripula, so...what say you? Is it worth an extra 5-10 cents per round to have the ammo already on strippers?? I'm not anticipating burning thru this stash very quickly, so is there any storage benefit to being on strippers? Probably stating the obvious, but I'm assuming it stores better on strippers than loose in an ammo can.

anything over 50 cents is still high. Ive been purchasing on PSA lately on stripper clips for .36 cents a round before shipping. After shipping the more you buy the more you save but it comes out to around .41-.43 per round depending on quantity ordered.

As I use my AR as a plinker I can think of no benefit.

Assuming you are not storing it in your Jeep while wheeling, why would you think that?
