    M1 garand 16" ?

    While going thru my dad's safe I found an old bayonet sitting in the rear, pops said I can have It (sweet) he has no use for it. It measures almost 16"s on the blade I would like more info from the pros my Google fu is weak.

        Looks like the WWII version of the M1905 bayonet (made in the years 1942 and 1943). The UC on it means it was manufactured by Utica Cutlery.

        Here's a very brief history on the bayonets. (There were as many variations, depending on who and when it was made, as there are with the garands and the M1 carbines).



        Now you just need a garand to go with it.

          that's a Garand bayo, they are HARD to find. do yourself a favor and keep it oiled and find a rifle to pair it up with.

                      He actually found it in the trunk of an old 65 mustang he had awhile ago like 10 years ago cleaned it up and put in the parts/hunting safe he has in the garage .

                          I do plan in selling it or trading it I don't see myself buying an m1 garand any time soon, what do these bayonets go for?

                            I found and bought one at a pawn shop years ago for $28,its probably worth $300 now.NIce gift,dont ever get rid of it.
