I buy things all the time because it looks good. Everything from twinkies, clothing, cars, prostitutes, houses, vacations and beyond. I don't see the problem with it. I guess I am a rare one. Either that or I am just really secure verbalizing it.

LOL same here. I buy stuff that looks good. I'm a recreational shooter, not a soldier or somebody who uses my rifle for work and survival everyday. I'll also admit that I like fluted barrels because they look nice. All my rifles shoot better than me so all that science matters very little.
