Saiga 7.62 muzzle conversion

Is it really necessary to do add a brake to the muzzle and what is the best way to add a brake to the muzzle? Is there any AK gun smith in the San francisco area that will remove and add an AK 74 FSB?

I think a brake is cosmetic for 5.45 unless you are firing full auto. That's not to say it will have no affect but i don't think it's needed at all. Shooting fast with 7.62 it can help quite a bit.
