    Mini 14 Love

I know it's all about AR/AKs. I just bought a Ruger Mini 14, blued with wood stock (Model 5801). Been wanting one for a while. It will look good against my Pre-64 Winchesters (Model 70, 94).

Ten days (plus shipping) still feels like an eternity.

No hate here. I love that action, be it M1, M1 Carbine, M14/M1A, etc… something about that type of action is so rewarding to shoot. An AR is an AR is an AR… That is the good and bad about them. I'll never part with mine, but I'll never say my AR is the most fun to take plinking.

    Congrats on the pickup!

      You won't regret it.

I'd put a little dab of blue loctite on the rear sight scree

      They work loose often

Love my Mini 14. I have the 580 series in stainless steel and put the OD green Hogue stock and Choate handguard on it. Been wanting to get the Mo-Rod and Mo-Reaper too. Best thing about it is it's featureless so I can use my pre ban 20 and 30 rounders. Just got some repair kits for them too just in case they need repairing after AB48 goes into effect.

582 with MO-reaper, trigger job and gas bushing change. It's a soft shooter now and my brass is not dented

If you're looking for inexpensive mags , check out CDNN. I bought 4 of their 10 rounders and like them better than factory mags. They've been reliable 100% after 200 rds or so.

Me want's a stainless model sooo baad!
I once pondered over the debate of 9mm vs. .40, then I was introduced to .38 super and 10mm and forgot all about it.

Love my Mini 14, there is just something about having a "whole rifle" VS ARs which are just a bunch of parts slapped together.

Mini 14s are about the funnest guns to shoot! Make sure to buy plenty of ammo.

I started with a 180 series back in the mid 70s and have just about always had a Mini 14. One of these days I'll trade in my 185 series for one of the newest models. I like 'em.

Mini 14s rock but their mags suck. Even the factory ones suck.

I'd never give up my blued, wood stock Mini 14 Rancher. Yeah, I just use Ruger mags, no problem. Enjoy.
