    Bipod Help

I am finishing my first build and I need some help with a bipod. I have a Noveske N4 Light Recce Lo-Profile upper ( http://noveskerifleworks.com/cgi-bin...i=un4lr_1d.jpg )and a LMT Sopmod stock, RRA LPK w/ 2-stage & Bullet Button (of course).

I think I want to go with a Harris bipod. I will be shooting primarily at A Place To Shoot and Angeles. Which height/style would you suggest? What mount would I need?

    Thanks!

If you are shooting off a bench, I would recommend a 6-9" (their smallest size). It can be obtained in either a pivoting or non-pivoting configuration, and should run anywhere from $65 to $90.

Just get one from Tango Down, the ACB-4.

TangoDown - Known for Vickers Tactical Upgrades for Glock. Our reputation for unique design and quality manufacturing of weapon components has earned us first choice when it comes to stepping into harm’s way.

              Which Adapter?

Thanks for all the info. One last question:

Which adapter do I need for 1913 rails?

              Thanks!

If you buy the tango down bipod you don't need an adapter, it is ready to be mounted to any rail.

go harris! it has alot more features.

its not as expensive, it has fully notched legs, rubber feet, it swivels, its actually made of metal, its smaller than the TD and still allows normal style grasp of your rifle forend. plus, heck, it looks tacti-cool and the legs spring out.

the disadvantages; its heavier, has more moving parts, made of metal and some parts are prone to rusting. of course it requires the adaptor, and supposedly it doesnt lock up as solid because of this. but IMO its still a few features ahead of tango down.

personally, i have been using it for months and i have no problems putting a 2 inch group at 100-200yd.

TD has always been great with polymers, a bit over priced..

                      Ludicrous price?
I used to LOVE my Harris' but the legs spring out sometimes when you don't want them to -- they have to be adjust constantly -- try the TD in the store and see how the legs extend, etc., and how secure they are before you decide.

um yes, 200 bucks for a bipod is ludicrous. and their 80 dollar price tag on the TD vert grips is even more ludicrous but i wont go into that!

I vote for the Harris 6-9" model with the swivel and the notched legs. Add a Pod-Loc and your good to go.
