AR10: Flash hider, muzzle break or both?

Just got my PredatOBR 7.62 16" with a standard A2 flash hider. I have a USCG muzzle break on my M1A and it's extremely effective so I was thinking about grabbing a Surefire muzzle break since this is a 16" and probably needs it. I'm also in the market for a PVS 14 so I'm unsure if I should get a high end flash hider for night shooting. Since I'll be getting the second barrel from LaRue I guess I could have a barrel with a muzzle break and a barrel with a flash hider since it's so easy to swap the barrel. I'm probably going to experiment with the A2 first as it's a very good design. I imagine it being weird to switch between a nice muzzle break and flash hider if there's a lot more felt recoil without the break, may mess with MOA.

What are you using on your AR10 and why? Do you have any experience shooting with NV? Are there any good devices that function as muzzle break AND flash hider besides the A2?

running a PWS FSC30 on a LR308/SR25, works great with minimal side blast but i will probably switch to a JP later.

The PWS looks good I might have to try that out. Which JP would you get?

        First, I'm jealous!!!!

2nd, I would recommend a JP for the comp, and a Vortex Flash hider. The JP is incredibly loud, but couple this with an adjustable gas block and a JP captured recoil, I can tune my gun to shoot nice with minimal recoil, or at least a lot less than most .308 ARs. You will be disliked at the range because it'll sound like you're shooting a cannon, but who cares...tell them to wear double ear pro! You will benefit because the sound is deflected away from you AND you get less felt recoil and better after shot target acquisition.

The surefire is nice, but is expensive. You can get a JP for about 50-90 bucks cheaper if you shop around and the JP brake looks nice too. Get the largest one, or better yet, measure the diameter of your muzzle and get the JP brake that best accomodates the diameter of your barrel. They have two versions. If you have a lighter/medium weight contour barrel, get the smaller one, if you have more of a bull barrel, get the larger one. JP tells you what their diameter of their brakes are.

        Good luck!
