if money is no concern, a custom built rifle. home build is good, but not for resale.

Very subjective question.
Like others have said it really depends on what you want.
There is no right or wrong answer to this.
Some want the tricked out totally custom ak with rails and flashlights and ergo enhancements ( ar style stock, better grip, safety tab, etc).
Others will want the traditional wood and steel that screams AK!
Some will be happy with a WASR and others will want a custom build from PoH firearms.
So question is........
What's your 'ideal' AK?Comment

id edit that.
Rifle dynamics, specifically Jim Fuller makes a fine AK. very $$ though.
krebs custom are very fine
Arsenals are a great and are my personal fav.
century (WASR or OPAP) is hit or miss
I wouldnt consider building unless you have the know-how or are guided step-by-step by someone.
AKs to stay away from would be cirtian century rifles, IO inc, SIA and redjacketLast edited by luckystrike; 11-25-2013, 5:02 PM.Comment

Like most have said, are you looking for a traditional style, surplus rifle?
Are you looking for a modern production tactical rifle?
Do you want Wood furniture, Do you want synthetic ?
Do you want accuracy, is weight a huge concern ?
Price point would be nice as well.Last edited by laabstract; 11-25-2013, 5:17 PM.In memory of Ricky Lee Turner, January 16th 2009 Baghdad Iraq

Well , I got a Arsenal because I had to have an AK . I guess I was spoiled with my AR's . They are not near as accurate . I was so let down , I think they look cool as hell . I got that out of my system pretty quick . 3 magazines later and I started to think that our soldiers are a lot safer when the enemy is holding those things . Close up I will agree that it would be useful , more than 100 yards and all bets are off . Anyone else experience this ? Uncomfortable to hold and mine is not accurate . But if you are looking at the best for quality then I would say the Arsenals are pretty nice . The wasr's I was looking at looked cool but the quality was not real good .Comment
