So what if you can't drive your Ferrari because the fuel door doesn't open?

Did you read my post? I'm not concerned with the charging handle causing scrapes on the lower, the charging handle won't pull out so I have no way to lock the bolt to the rear. I only pointed out the scrapes so you can see what little clearance the charging handle has.

Also, you want to think about NOT using extended charging handles on your rifle as it always gets caught on body armor and flops around in the field. Just stick with the oldie but goodie.
The oldie sucks for quickly assessing and clearing malfunctions. Also, I usually am not wearing body armor at the range, but a definite consideration for those in the operation community as well as those that think they are

So it looks like the issue is the lower. Exactly what I was fearing. I've seen the same upper, CH, and stock used in an AR with no clearance issue. So this leads me to believe that either my JD machining Calguns lower is out of spec, or it's just simply not compatible with this stock.

I've been having the same problem. I just built my ar but haven't fired it yet. It's a matching mega upper / lower set with bcm mod 3 handle and a black ubr. I might have to take some fine sand paper to the top of it. I'll buy a raptor and see if there is any difference before the sand paper method.

Any pics? How much interference is there? Let me know if that CH makes a difference for you. I can't just sand the stock down because it's just much too large.

              Possible answer/fix

Today I assembled 95% of it, however I'm having issues with my BCM Gunfighter charging handle clearing my Magpul UBR stock. Here are some pictures. You can also see some scratches from the charging handle on the lower. I have a JD machining lower and the Vltor MUR upper. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it? Hoping I don't have to dremel the Gunfighter to fit over the stock...
I just built an AR-15 with the UBR stock. I built the lower tonight and just swapped the BCG and charging handle out of one of my other ARs to test fit everything. The charging handle would not clear the stock. I tried three different variations to make sure it was NOT the charging handle. I tried the charging handle in the Upper of my other gun which is not billet receiver. I also tried a stock charging handle, not the Ambi BCM gunfighter I tried first. Neither one cleared. Since I am a mechanic/automotive technician by trade, I took everything apart. the INSIDE of the cheek-rest portion of the gun has extra material on it. Please send me a private message and I will discuss this with you.

I hope you haven't given up on the UBR stock or a upgrade charging handle on your build, as I do not believe either should be thrown to the wayside. Although, highly disappointing that one of the most expensive stocks on the market needs "ALTERATIONS like a wedding dress" before functioning properly.

It may just be me but I think that the OP might have figured out his problem in the (almost) 2 years since this was originally posted.

I have the same combo on an Aero lower. No interference issues to report.
