    No problem.

I don't think a different handle is going to help though, they're all going to be the same on the bottom.

Your issue seems to be the stock, it's too fat or something.

See if you can adjust the cheek weld piece down on the UBR? Can't remember is the screw slots are oblong or not?

My magpul moe and ctr both have a little ramp by the CH, which I don't see on the ubr. Wonder why they didn't incorporate it into the ubr?

I have the same set up . Looking at mine , somehow my charging handle has 1/32" more gap between it and the upper receiver . Then the top of my upper rail and the top of my stock is even with each other .

So it looks like your charging handle is slightly lower and the top of your stock is above the top of your receiver . So , something is out of spec . I doubt it is the stock or the upper . Try a different charging handle first . If that doesn't work then for some reason the stock you have and the upper you have are not working with each other .

your pics show the charging handles basically scraping over the top surface of the lower. there also seem to be marks on the lower from the charging handles riding them. on both of my AR's, there a slight gap between the bottom of the charging handle and the top of the lower, and there are no marks whatsoever showing evidence of contact between the two. i am also using the newer version of the bcm gunfighters. maybe slightly out of spec lower?

Ugh I hope my lower isn't crappy. It took a good 7 months for me to get it from JD machining. I'll think I'll take it into my LGS and see if I can swap some of the parts out to find out what combination will work for me, and to find out which of the components is causing the problem.

I have a UBR and a stock mil spec charging handle and it barely clears. From the pics of your charging handle I can tell that it's much larger than mine. Here's a pic, my iPad camera sucks sorry guys. I'm glad I saw this post, I was thinking of getting a different charging handle. I guess I better wait lol.

Can I see a pic? Do you like that CH?

Thanks for supplying that pic. I can also see that your stock rises above the lower. It does look like the BCM CH is larger than yours, so that might be the issue.

One of my rifles has that exact setup and have no issues.

Thanks for all the help so far! Okay so since we have a rifle with the same CH and stock, I guess it comes down to my upper/lower combination. Something isn't happy there. Maybe either my lower has the buffer tube sitting too high, or my upper has the charging handle sitting too low. Looking at Niviticus' picture, I can see that his charging handle looks like it's positioned slightly higher than mine.

Mine is built off of a 80% lower. I would try a stock CH and see if that solves the problem. Easy to do since you can borrow a friends and just try it out real quick. If that isn't it then it's your upper/lower that's causing the problem. Where are you located if your close to me we can meet up and you can try out my CH.

Scratches on the lower are normal. The charging handle has play when it is fully extended and will scratch your lower.

Is the charging handle being impeded by the stock? I have marks on the rear part of the charging handle, but never experience any resistance.

Just file a small ramp into the stock, if it bothers you that much.

I live up near Fairfield, so a little too far but thanks for the offer! Unfortunately the clearance is almost 1/8" and it just too great for me to be able to fire down the stock, I would have to do way too much cutting and I'm not really interested in doing that to my expensive stock.

Ummm, it looks fine. It's a rifle, not a Ferrari. And for the record, I'd drive the holy heck out of a Ferrari if I owned one.lol

Also, you want to think about NOT using extended charging handles on your rifle as it always gets caught on body armor and flops around in the field. Just stick with the oldie but goodie.
