There is a Mod kit that fits a 1911 or glock and makes it a Carbine. Is it Kali Legel if not Whycome?

If you turn it into a rifle, it has to comply with SB 23. That means no PG, FH, Collapsible stock, has to be 30" in length, etc, Unless you implement some type of mag lock/button for it like the BB, but still has to be 30". Several threads from the past have more info/explanation how/why.

Illeagle. You would have a short barreled rifle. Barrel must be at least 16in.

You can legally own it in CA.

You can not legally install it in CA, because, as mentioned by GI_JOE, you would be manufacturing an assault rifle.

You will need to make your 1911/Glock handgun into a fixed 10 round magazine platform before you can install the CCU.

Do a search of the mechtech and you'll find several threads about it, including one in which a forum member made a BB style fixed magazine 1911 CCU.
