Midway Cancelled my Varget order :(

A few weeks ago when Varget 1lb'ers came back "in stock" for a split second I was lucky enough to place an order for 8lbs. I knew they wouldn't be shipped for possibly a couple months.

Just today I get an email saying their supplier cannot ship some or all of the powder requested and completely cancelled my order. Has this ever happened to anyone before? Why wouldn't they just leave my order standing for the next round of production? Been shopping with Midway for several years and this is the first time I've really been let down.

    Its midway.

They probably figured CA will out law powder in 2019 so they are cancelling orders now.

Ordered powder from them before. No issues. They can't always help supply issues.

Graf & Sons takes back orders. I'll place an order and if its more than thirty days till the stock gets there, they just call once it shows up to verify I still want it. Just got a bunch of h335 today.

Their price point probably increased. So, complain. I ordered some .22 CCI, at a very nice price. A few months later, they had some in stock (at a considerably higher price), and did not honor my order. I called and complained, still nothing, I went to a supervisor, and the a manager, still nothing. Finally emailed the "get in touch with Larry" link and explained what wa going on, that I had had some other issues in the past (in detail, order numbers etc.) and commented I would probably take my business elsewhere in the future...bing. Two weeks later I have my .22 ammo.

I have since ordered more stuff from midway, shipping has never been great, but so far the service has been pretty good.

as you might expect Midways customer service is top notch... I have had issues with items received from them in the past - spoke with a real person and had a replacement shipped out the same day.

I did. They gave me a story about how they don't store powder at their location because they are too close to a highway which transports nuclear weapons, and that its really the suppliers fault. She apologized and said there's nothing they can do, there is no powder.

I will call back on Monday and try talking to a supervisor.

Never had a problem with them before. They are pretty good about not catering to hoarders. They limit magazine buys to 2 per order and limit primer purchases. Because of that, they will sometimes have stock when others don't.

That's an understatement. I had a bottle of Hoppes tip over closed in my at and I called to tell them about their caps being crap and order another. They sent me 2 more free for my troubles with out even asking.

I'm sure there is a explanation as to why. Californians are too quick to assume it's because every outside company in anti CA. Call them and see what's up. I'm sure it wasn't due to you being in CA due to a law or their fear of a law.

I also always had good experiences with Midway and they have always honored my backorders.

In Dec 2012 I backordered a case of Federal of 5000 rounds of Federal .22 lr at $175+shipping and it showed up on my porch almost a year later. They came through with the quoted price at the time of the order.
