Delton uppers any good

I was looking on midwayusa site for a budget rifle kit and saw this one looks to be a good price for $489

Your not going to win any cork sniffing contests, that said Del-Ton builds solid uppers/rifles.

Comparable with Stag, CMMG, Rock River, and other "mid range" type rifles.

Meh, if it doesn't include the BCG, CH or rear sight I'd say it's not that great of a deal. You can pick up a complete PSA for that price and be one and done.

For a little more $$$ , that's BCM, Spikes Tactical range.

Gem em while they are still available Ive two DelTon rifles and havent have any issues at all.

$485 is a good price to pay for a complete kit minus receiver.

I'd buy it for a gun that was PURELY a range toy.

I used a very similar one (mid-length in my case) on my first assembly. Not bad for a budget build. Stripped lower for $100 + this kit for $473 + bullet button for $12 + rear sights for $35 will give you a fully functioning AR for $620.

I have no complaints with mine so far. Not great but not bad at all!

Palmetto seems like a better deal. But delton is a good workhorse without all the bells and whistle.

I just bought a Del Ton Mid Length from Midway and and happy with the fit and finish.

I've ordered both a PSA upper and a Del-Ton upper (complete rifle kit from Midway), and both shoot just fine with 55gr PMC ammo.

Fit & finish is about the same. The reason why I like shooting my Del-Ton upper more is because the barrel is 1/9" twist rate compared to PSA's 1/7" twist rate (I have slightly better groupings at 50 & 100 yards with my 55gr rounds), and also the Del-Ton upper receiver doesn't have a bright white laser engraved logo on it like the PSA ones do.
