AK Magazine Lock - Does this look kosher to you?

Does this maglock look ok? (evil features are not present, FYI)

When the magazine is fully seated, you cannot see the front of the mag release, and even mashing my pinky finger up the bottom, i can't touch the release.

My only concern is there is a slight gap. You can't fit a finger in there. You would need something like an allen wrench to manipulate it.

    But..what do you think?

    Also, if no bueno......AK RaddlocK?

Anyone use a raddlock on their AK?

The problem I have is the CSS millet trigger guard. It won't accommodate properly a standard AK maglock, and the Prince AK Bullet Button is just huge.

I saw this one, and it looks much more low-profile. What do you guys think?

if you need a tool to remove the mag, then it works regardless of the gap. You should not be able to use the mag release with your finger.

it's really my fault for getting the CSS kit.

They only sell one kit with everything you need, and it comes with the billet trigger guard. I wish I would have researched it sooner so I could have avoided these maglock issues.

        Thanks stevie for your input

Yeah you changed your words. The lock should not be a problem as long as you need a tool to remove the mag.

i edited once to add the photos and the description; previously it was just asking for feedback on the AK Raddlock

            thanks, though.

I'll feel ok for now...i may just try to get a standard trigger guard.

do you know how the normal pistol grip goes on to a conversion? All the videos on youtube have the dang all-in-one CSS billet TG with PG nut

Bought the same kit from css. Ran into same situation. Filed the top plate of maglock between the two holes, wide enough for triger guard, to allow maglock to move forward a little.

I also dremelled about a cm of material between the front screw holes to push it up some.

I have a raddlock on my Saiga 223 and it's not bad. I prefer the other type of mag locks though.
