shops have been shut down as of late by the ATF. find a friend/calgunner close to you with a drill press and jig; its not hard.

How hard is it? I'm pretty good with tools but don't have a drill press at the moment, would it be plausible to do it with a hand held drill and a vise?

Don't try to mill out the fire control pocket without a drill press.
Get a cheap $50 drill press from harbor freight.
