I got a .50 beo on a M&P lower and a 7.62x39 on an Ep80 zombie green 80% lower. the 7.62 jammed alot during feeding with both ASC and Cproducts 10rd mags. Had to smooth out feed lips on mag with dremel and then stretch the mag spring on the backside to match the taper of the case. Now it's smooth as butter and ammo is 6$/20rds at my LGS. Bumpfires a whole mag no prob. I wanna duracote the upper to match the zombie lower.

I have been switching to 6.8 for a couple years. Shoots nicely. Enough power to take deer and hogs. I handload so it is not that expensive to shoot. I am taking it to New Mexico Elk hunting in 3 weeks as an alternative to my .300 mag.

Get the 300blk and start castin boolits.
It's been cheaper to shoot than .22 this past year
Can't go wrong with the great .30cal bullet selection and free brass.

I forgot to mention that this round is more than capable out to 400 yards, I haven't tried it any further yet.
It's also great for medium sized game, I took my first deer with 300blk.

And it is indeed easy on the powder, I have an 8lb jug of lil gun that has been used to load 1500+ rounds and it's still nice and heavy.

What about plated bullets like the xtreme 150gr FP? I probably won't be casting my own any time soon. Cast 300 AAC need gas checks right?

I haven't tried any flat point bullets yet. I remember a couple people loading them on 300blktalk, they might have feeding issues in an AR tho.

The subsonics are okay without a gas check but the supersonics need them. Some fellas have been tumbling the bullets in powder-coating and baking them instead of using gas checks and lube. The powder coating method allows cast bullets to be pushed to 3000fps and keeps your firearm cleaner. I'll be giving it a try in a week or so

                      LoL at 300blk...

Just stick to good old fashioned 223/556 since you don't cast/reload at the moment.

I don't have any experience with them, but I've heard good things about their products.
