This is the barrel shroud I plan to add soon; made by Moerse for the Hi Point carbine.

Here's the plug I've decided to get for storing a spare glockblock and mag release.

I can't argue with you on that one. An AR easily beats out the Mech Tech on many levels, especially cost. I already have an AR, so I put this together just for plain old fun. 9mm doesn't let it shine, but 10mm will.

If anyone is interested, I will be putting this Mech Tech CCU up for sale in the next couple days.

Glad you put this thread together as I am starting my build now and this answered a few questions I had. Did you end up selling your CCU and if so why?

And one other question I had regarding the buffer tube kit, from that kit all you used was the end cap, castle nut and buffer tube correct? The spring and buffer arent needed right?

Hey sorry I had stopped following the forums for a while. I still have my CCU but I may post it up for sale again. My reason for posting it up previously was because I became unemployed and needed the funds at the time.

To answer your question about the buffer tube kit, you are correct. The spring and buffer are not needed.

Well, then post it for sale in the correct for sale forum, don't resurrect a year plus old Zombie Thread. Dang.
