You should be good to go. In face your bore snake should say 30 cal it so you are good for a variety of 30 cal rifles.

They're the same thing. Bore snakes are based on caliber(well, the pistol ones are shorter), not cartridge. Same as a jag or brush.

.30 caliber rifle, use a .30 caliber bore snake.

Yeah, as in a .308 bore (x51) vs a .311 bore (x39/x54). FWIW the boresnake I grabbed said it was good for .300-.310, but it works just fine on a .311 7.62x54 bore.
