Has anybody here ever tried using Pro Mags? Specifically the 42 round AR 15 one they sell? I know they are not Magpul, but what's the scoop on them?

Tried a polymer AR mag before... had feeding issues from the follower about 8/10 times. Maybe it was a crap mag, but from that I didn't bother to test any more of them.
I've used both a Pmag 40rd and a 30rd w/Nordic extension (48 rounds) and those ran flawless with hundreds of rounds through them.
Now, has anyone had any experience with them for the Mini 14's? I don't have one so I can't test, but my dad was looking for 30rd metal mags for his Mini 14 (he lives out of state so he can get from anywhere), and Ruger said they're no longer making them. I see ProMag as being on of the only companies making then, that aren't double the price from other places. Any experiences with their metal mags?Comment

I've had no problems with my 42 rounder (blocked of course), and have no problems trying out products other than magpul. Lots of people will knock em, but I'm ok with having some in my stock; for backups if nothing else. They have a lifetime warranty, and will try to fix any issues to make you happy.Comment

I have only had bad experience with them haven't tryed any ar mags. The ones i bought for my ruger pc4 dont work well. My brother had some for his mini 30. They did not work properly either. I have freind with saiga 12 and they wouldn't even fit in gun but his sgm mags did. But thats not saying they all wont work. Even though my experience with them is limited they do make some nice stuff. There mosin mags and stock are pretty cool and work great.Comment

My dad had some pro mag standard capacity magazines for his mini 14 that were junk. He tossed them and kept the factory standard capacity magazines which work flawlessly.Want to Buy: Ruger PC9 Magazine Buttstock PouchComment
