Trijicon accupoint 3-9x40 is a good one.

    Or

Keep the ACOG and add an RMR to the top for CQB shots. if you want a 1-4 or 1-5 you might as well keep the bullet/blast-resistant ACOG. You don't want to lose that much cash. I remember paying about $1300 for my civvy ACOG and another $600 for my RMR. Just sayin'.

If money isn't a concern, go with what's best for the use the rifle is gonna get.

I think I am going to settle on a quality higher magnification scope not sure what yet.

      Niiiiice!

The conservative see's glass as half empty and tries to keep it that way.

Might move to a higher powered scope in the future but I'm going to go with the 1x5 for now. I have a friend with a ACOG ECOS and though it suits him fine I am not a fan. ACOG are great optics but just not my thing. Thanks for the post.

Dang that scope looks nice! I also found this also and if I had more funds I would look into it.

I figured. That's why you keep taking the ACOG mount back.

+1 It's worth a look if you're considering something in the 1x4/1x6 category.

Yeah I sent in my AOCG Friday and called SWFA to hold the 1x6 scope and mount. They will get it on Monday and God willing I'll have my mount and scope by weeks end. They even had one for $899 on the sample list, type "B" that looked good to go.

Nikon looks to be phasing out their Monarch scopes, not the Monarch 3 though. You can get a Monarch 5-20 x 44 for under $400.00 with their BDC reticle. I have a Leupold 4-18 x 42 AR scope on my 18" AR and I am happy with it. I just orderd the Nikon for my 20" AR.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

No then I feel like I'm over scoping the rifle.

Definitely not phasing out the MONARCH line, just making some changes that will make it easier to understand what tier you are looking at. Some great Promo's going on right now from your Authorized Nikon dealer. Save up to $100 on some scopes.

As always, drop me a note with any question's.
