    Lightest "Next Gen" .223/5.56 rifle?

    So, it's fairly self-explanatory . . . of the new breed of rifles (not AR, AK, etc.) , which is the lightest? I'm thinking the Tavor at low 7 pound range.

      Not the next gen since it's been around, but the KelTec SU-16CA is 4.7 lbs. unloaded.

              The SCAR 16 should be just a hair lighter than the Tavor... Like .07 pounds
