You need a handguard retainer, gas tube .

I wouldn't bother doing the front half. I wish I hadn't on mine.

You need to check your trunnion to see what bullet guide to get. If yours is rounded, get round; if it's flat, get flat. It's probably rounded.

Here's a little step by step on how to do.

Don't order anything until you check. My 16" 7.62x39 Saiga needed a flat guide.

I also would not touch the front assembly (front sight, gas block) unless you have a press to punch out the pins safely.

Or just use a bolt on retainer.

FYI you can use a 1" section of cut and fitted iron pipe for the bullet guide if you have a round trunion, IIRC its 1/2, but its been a while since I did one.

Converting the front to look like an AK really is just for looks. Stock Saiga handguard actually handles better imo.

Like other people said about the bullet guide you can't know until you actually get the rifle in your hands

JUST FYI.....I had to modify my flat BG to work. Although mine was a 545x39 round, according to CSS, Saiga has many variations to their Bolt/carrier and trunnions. Just be aware.
